Ombré Mimosas

In the South, we love to brunch. Looking forward to weekend brunch gets me through the work week. One of the best parts of brunch are the socially acceptable alcoholic beverages! Bloody Marys or Mimosas are the standard options but I 100% of the time go with a Mimosa. And now that it is citrus season, I am celebrating with a colorful spread of gorgeous and refreshing cocktails!

Mimosas are usually only 2 ingredients: Champagne/Prosecco and fruit juice. Some people fancy it up with Grand Marnier but I say, keep it simple!

The availability of PINK LEMONS made me so excited! If you can’t find pink lemons you can use grapefruit juice.

Lemon Mimosa (Yellow)

1oz fresh lemon juice

1oz simple syrup (this is needed or it will be way too sour! microwave 1:1 parts water and sugar until sugar is disssolved - cool and use!)

2 oz champagne or prosecco

Orange Mimosa

2 oz fresh orange juice

2 oz champagne or prosecco

Pink Lemon Mimosa (Pink)

1 oz pink lemon juice

1oz grapefruit juice

2 oz champagne or prosecco

Blood Orange Mimosa (Red)

2 oz blood orange juice

2 oz champagne or prosecco
