Overnight Cold Swiss Oatmeal

Breakfast is Served! This is a copycat recipe from a bakery chain that discontinued this recipe during COVID. I missed it so much I recreated it at home and it is just as good (if not better because you don’t have to leave the house!) Overnight soaked oats served cold with fresh fruit and almonds. Power for your day!

INGREDIENTS: (serves 2)

  • 1 cup oats (I used Quaker Old Fashioned Oats)

  • 3/4 milk

  • 1 single-serve container vanilla yogurt

  • 2 tablespoons dried cranberries

  • 2 tablespoons raisins (I used golden raisins)

  • 1 banana

  • 1/2 cup sliced strawberries

  • 1/3 cup blueberries

  • 2-3 tablespoons sliced almonds

INSTRUCTIONS:

In a mixing bowl, combine the oats, milk, and yogurt.

Refrigerate overnight.

Right before serving, quarter the bank length-wise and then slice so you have a petite dice. Stir the banana into the oatmeal.

Spoon the oats into serving bowls and top with strawberries, bananas, and almonds.

Breakfast is served!
